If you are going a copy backup to tape you will need to make sure you are using incremental backups with synthetic fulls, or use Veeam 9.5 which provided the option "Prevent this job from being interrupted by primary backup jobs".  The reason for this is; if you use reverse incremental backups the full backup file will need to be updated every time the backup job runs, and will thus require the backup to tape job to stop.

The AWS Storage Gateway when used as a Tape Gateway can become a Virtual Tape Library for Veeam.
